Our family business has existed since 1899. With a passion for craft and quality in fresh, Driessen Food has grown over time to become a supplier of four fresh produce groups. Being able to supply the best meat, fish, ag and dairy products starts with finding the right suppliers. Livestock farmers, fishermen and growers who work with love on their products and producers who match them. We like to show where our products come from. Products with a story. That is what we are looking for and those fresh products go through a beautiful journey into our kitchens to end up in contemporary, flavorful dishes.
From local to global: We work with regular suppliers. Products that are produced in an animal- and environment-friendly way are our preference. These products therefore receive more attention in communication to our customers.

Why partner in the Biodiversity on Your Plate program?
Since 2008, Driessen Food has been intensively studying the impact of food production on animal welfare and the environment. This has led to close collaborations with regional producers and the achievement of various sustainability labels. Participation in “Biodiversity on Your Plate” (BOJB) offers us a unique opportunity to inform customers and encourage conscious choices. By offering products that fit the biodiversity concept – with and without a hallmark – we can contribute to a more sustainable food chain. Especially smaller producers, who often work sustainably without quality marks because of the high costs involved, still receive recognition through BOJB. This makes it easier for our customers to choose products that have a positive impact on biodiversity.


What are we proud of?
The collaboration with BOJB has brought a new impetus to our assortment. Collaborations with past producers have been picked up again, but we have also been able to add new local products. It feels good to pay attention to this. We hope that in time this assortment can grow further due to increasing interest from gastronomy.
