In the run-up to the game season, Driessen Food is organizing a special wild event on September 11 at De Landgoederij in Bunnik.
At Driessen Food, we have a deeply rooted passion for game. It is magnificent free-range meat; the animals have lived a good, free life. It is healthy, pure, natural, and always of top quality because it is hunted at the moment when the animal is at its best. Moreover, it is very diverse and full of distinct flavors, which provides variety on the plate.
Wild demos
On September 11, you can experience game from hunt to plate. There are various game workshops you can participate in. Learn how to process game from head to tail. Carve venison and a roe deer. Hear hunting stories from the hunter. Go on a hunt yourself and challenge your colleagues in a full-scale hunting simulator. And take part in the Dutch Championship Antler Throwing! In addition, we offer plenty of menu inspiration with different preparations of game.
Attention to convenience
The days when the whole animal was processed are almost over. The demand for portioned parts and convenience is growing. We see that the standard cuts are making way for the less common parts, for example pheasant thighs instead of fillets and a beautiful shoulder blade (sukade) instead of steak. We will show and let you taste your new products and other preparation methods. Such as sausages, cooked products like sukade, and confit leg meat and other preparations like pulled wild boar.
Expensive Image
Game is often regarded as expensive, often unjustly, because you can get very creative with it. For us, an important role is to help with the cost calculation. For example, by combining venison steak with a piece of cooked sukade, you come to a good cost price.
Also Wild from the Wild?
