Ode aan: Restaurant Vroeg

Restaurant Vroeg celebrates a special milestone: fifteen years full of passion for craftsmanship and quality. For ten years now, Chef Rinus has been a familiar face in the kitchen at Vroeg – a collaboration that we proudly spotlight.

“From day one when I started at Vroeg, I have been connected with Driessen Food,” says Rinus. “Of course, during that time we have experienced both good and less good moments, but the relationship has always remained strong. This is mainly due to open communication and mutually wishing each other the best quality.”

At Restaurant Vroeg, the menu changes regularly to allow guests to enjoy dishes that align with the season. As an ambassador for ‘Biodiversity on Your Plate’, Rinus is also committed to using products produced in a biodiversity-friendly way. With this conscious choice, he stamps every dish with a clear signature: seasonal ingredients and a wealth of flavors.

In this special ‘Ode to Vroeg’, Rinus makes use of some of our favorite products from Driessen Food:

  • Red meat radish

  • Kale

  • Cauliflower

  • Stadsjochies slamix

  • For the dressing, a herb oil was used.

The result is a dish that not only shows how you can work with fresh, local products in countless ways, but also how important sustainability and biodiversity are for a flavorful outcome. Thanks to Driessen Food and Rinus’ role as ambassador, the kitchen at Vroeg blossoms with a unique seasonal magic.
